If you are about to take an online exam, waiting for an important text or you have a big event coming up that you are extremely anxious about, try this grounding strategy. This strategy uses the cold sensation of the ice to jolt your attention to the here and now. So if you’re feeling extremely overwhelmed with emotions, whether that is anxiousness, fear, excitement, guilt or embarrassment, get yourself some ice.
